We currently have a membership of approximately 80 playing ladies who are known to be the fittest in the area, thanks to the terrain - we are used to being commonly referred to as ‘Mountain Goats’!!  The ladies are a fun loving, fit and friendly group who rarely suffer from heart trouble but occasionally from shortness of breath!!!

The ‘Boyce Hill Ladies’ always welcome new members and we would love to see a few new faces, so why not come and join us for a cuppa and sandwich on a Tuesday and then play a few holes of golf with us.   Our Club Professionals currently run Golf Academies for Ladies as well as individual lessons (under cover) which would introduce you to our Course, the Club and its members.  So come on ladies, swing those clubs and join us on a Tuesday for lunch and perhaps the odd game of Bridge.

If you are competitively minded, during the summer months we have Teams who take part in events organised by Essex County Ladies as well other annual competitions.  Each week throughout the year we run our competitions, normally 18 holes during the good weather and 11 holes during winter months.  However, you can if you wish, continue and complete all 18 holes should the weather permit.  There are two Guest Days during the year when ladies invite golfing friends from other Clubs to join them for 18 holes of golf followed by a lunch and prizes which are most enjoyable occasions.

The year for this group of ladies runs from January to December and they would normally meet once a month.  The meeting is chaired by the Lady Captain and they would discuss any issues, competitions, events etc.   There is always somebody on hand to look after our newcomers, to answer their questions and generally to guide them in the right direction; after all we’ve all been the ‘new girl’.
